"The marriage covenant, by which man and woman constitute among themselves the intimate communion of all life, was raised by Christ our Lord to the dignity of the Sacrament" CIC, 1601.
In addition to dealing with the canonical process and asking for the civil certificate, the bride and groom will also have a doctrinal and liturgical preparation meeting in order to celebrate Marriage.
It is recommended that the bride and groom register in a timely manner and participate in one of the Marriage Preparation Courses, to be marked in a timely manner in order to be held before marriage.
If you are from our parish, you should contact the parish registry. Appointments can be made up to 6 months before marriage and must be confirmed up to 3 months before the date. If confirmation is not made, the marking is voided.
The case for marriage should take place approximately 6 months in advance. When the proceedings take place in our parish, it must begin at the parish registry at least three months before the desired date.
If the process proceeds in our parish, the civil certificate for Catholic marriage, it must be requested by the bride and groom at a civil registry office. The civil certificate is only three months valid.
To deliver, between 1 and 3 months before the date of Marriage, in the Church where Marriage is celebrated:
- Marriage certificate
- Civil Certificate for Catholic Marriage
- Certificate of participation
If the process is taking place in our Parish or if Marriage is celebrated in our Parish, the bride and groom must fill out and send the form to pebelmiro@gmail.com or deliver it to the parish registry office, and also deliver:
- Copy of the Citizen Cards of the bride and groom and two witnesses
- Baptism certificate and free state of the bride and groom
