CONFIRMATION

In Your light we will see the light

"Early on, to better signify the gift of the Holy Spirit, an anointing with fragrant oil was added to the imposition of hands. This anoint illustrates the name of "Christian", which means "anointed", and who seeks its origin from the very name of Christ, the one who "God anointed with the Holy Spirit" (Acts 10:38)". CIC, 1289

For someone to be godfather/godmother, he/she needs: to have the ability and intention to perform this task; have completed 16 years of age; to be a confirmed Catholic and have already received the most holy Eucharist; if married, he must have celebrated the sacrament of Matrimony. The godfather must present his baptism certificate in which his Confirmation also is included.

The celebration of the sacrament of Confirmation is allowed for adolescents or young people, in principle older than 16 years, and adults, who are baptized, lead a life in accordance with the Catholic faith and are in the canonical conditions to receive the Sacrament.

The preparation meetings will take place with the parish priest in the Parish Church.
